For the specific placement case the company presents a detailed service description and price overview and states that the German employer bears all recruitment costs. Any own contributions already made (e.g. for qualification measures) by nurses to third parties are to be reimbursed by the employer from Germany upon conclusion of an employment contract on presentation of proof of payment. The corresponding rules from 2.2.6 are to be applied
The service and price overview must be disclosed in the offer to potential customers
- Information on our service
Process
After you, an international qualified nurse, have entered the Federal Republic of Germany, the qualification path you will take is determined within the recognition procedure on the basis of the deficit notice by the state authority, in consultation with the education provider.
The adaptation programme we recommend varies individually and is determined by the respective state authority.
This measure includes a theoretical part and a specialist practical part.
You complete this part of the qualification with other international qualified nurses. This teaching is delivered in the form of frontal teaching and group work.
The practical part takes place in a medical facility (hospital or other care facility.)
At our location in Borna the adaptation programme lasts 10 months (4 months of theory and specialist theory and 6 months of internship).
Objective
The objective of the adaptation programme is to eliminate all theoretical and practical deficits of the foreign qualifications identified by the competent state authority. In Saxony the Kommunaler Sozialverband Sachsen “KSV” (Municipal Social Association of Saxony) is responsible for identifying the deficits
Costs of the measure
The course fees are funded via an education voucher from the Agentur für Arbeit (Employment Agency).
- Which tasks CareLend takes on
CareLend GmbH, with more than 20 years of experience in the recruitment of international qualified nurses, has the following tasks and duties:
Towards the potential employer
Before entry
CareLend draws on an applicant pool of 43,000 people from various countries around the world. At the request of potential employers the selection process is initiated in order to present suitable profiles to the employer.
As soon as suitable candidates have been identified, CareLend organises an online job interview. A CareLend employee accompanies the candidate if questions arise on both sides regarding the duration of certain steps in the recruitment process or visits to authorities.
After entry and the start of the adaptation programme
We regularly provide the employer with up-to-date information on the employees’ development, so that you constantly have an overview of all activities in order to prepare for the internship phase with you.
Towards the international nurse
German language
- Proof of German language skills is an important prerequisite for obtaining the visa as well as the residence and work permit in Germany.
- CareLend organises language courses in the home country from language level A1 to B1 in order to apply for the visa.
In the period from application to receipt of the visa the nurse completes language level B2.
- Although the competent state authority requires the B2 language certificate (for issuing the professional certificate), we recommend language level C1 as necessary in order to manage a normal working day in the medical facility without difficulty. During the adaptation programme we can, if desired, organise language courses to obtain the language certificate at C1.

What you as an international nurse still need to know
CareLend GmbH takes care of organising entry and accommodation after entry, including accompaniment to visits to authorities that are necessary after arrival.
Participants are recommended to look for accommodation in already existing shared flats. The aim is that through exchange of experience with the international nurses already living here in Germany they are integrated quickly and individually into the community.
Furthermore we organise among other things the following matters:

Any further remuneration is owed by the hospital only if:
- the foreign nurse is granted the licence to practise / professional certificate for activity as a health and nursing care worker in Germany
- the foreign nurse, after receipt of the German licence to practise as a health and nursing care worker, has started with the client on the basis of a corresponding employment contract as a skilled worker
If the conditions named in sentences a and b are met, the client pays CareLend GmbH an amount equal to 2 gross monthly salaries. Alternative payment modalities gladly by arrangement.
As can be seen from the preceding list, all costs incurred are paid by the employer in collaboration with CareLend.
The nurse is at no time materially involved in the professional recognition.
Payments already made for any recognitions are in this case to be excluded.
