- Language evidence for entry
As an international nurse you must, as already described, provide for your entry into the Federal Republic of Germany language evidence in the form of a German language certificate of at least B1 according to the CEFR / GER*.
This is laid down in the Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz (FEG) (Skilled Immigration Act).
After your entry into the FRG you must, over time until you take up work, have reached at least B2 level.
The costs can be funded by different bodies.

To expand your language skills you should, after your B1 course, complete the next language level. In this case B2.
As a person who has immigrated and intends to undergo a vocational adaptation qualification here, you have several options in Germany for financial funding of your language course.
These include:
DeuFöV
The abbreviation DeuFöV covers the “Verordnung über die berufsbezogene Deutschsprachförderung” (Ordinance on work-related German language support) and forms the statutory basis existing in Germany for language courses to be delivered.
These courses teach work-related German. These courses can be offered by all language schools approved by the BAMF**.
BAMF-funded courses
The BAMF pays for different courses. These include e.g.
- Intensive German language course
- Language course in preparation for study
- Language course in preparation for vocational training
Bundesagentur für Arbeit
The Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency) funds attendance at language schools e.g. with the so-called education voucher (Bildungsgutschein).
