How does placement with a German employer work?
The application meetings are conducted online as interviews. This happens once the applicant has received the B1 certificate AND our team is satisfied that they are suitable for an interview with the employer in question and that their portfolio matches the job description advertised.
If this application meeting goes well for both sides, we support the applicant in preparing the entry formalities. This normally requires three to five months of processing time. These formalities include reaching language level B2. Obtaining this certificate is a condition of continuing with the entry arrangements.
If level B2 is not reached, this can lead to the programme being halted or ended. Before the first day of the language course begins, these rules are discussed with the applicant by our specialist staff in their home country, in their mother tongue, and explained in detail.
The applicant agrees to these conditions in writing before the placement begins.
