Spouse reunification for EU citizens
As an EU citizen, or as the spouse of an EU citizen, you have in principle the right to freedom of movement and can move to another EU country in order to work or live there.
The precise conditions and requirements can, however, differ from country to country.
As a rule, EU citizens and their family members need no particular minimum income or language skills in order to live or work in Germany.
It is important to note, however, that certain documents and evidence may be required in order to exercise the right of free movement. These include a valid passport or identity card, evidence of the marriage or partnership and, where applicable, evidence of adequate health insurance cover.
